About the Role

The adult psychiatric services in Örnsköldsvik consist of two clinics and a specialist psychiatric nursing team. The clinics have a general psychiatric focus and are aimed at individuals over the age of 18 who require psychiatric care at a specialist level. They are centrally located in Örnsköldsvik, and a total of approximately 50 therapists from various professions work here. We practice team psychiatry and treat patients with a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions. Great emphasis is placed on assessment/diagnosis and evidence-based treatment, where we can offer a wide range of treatment options. We are looking for a new social worker (counselor) to join our team!

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in working with people experiencing mental health issues. Social workers at the clinic are represented in all teams but also collaborate with each other to develop social work within specialized psychiatry. During your introduction period, you will be assigned a mentor to work with during your first few months. Supervision is provided.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date to be agreed upon.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interventions
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers around the patient
• Stay updated on societal resources
• Conduct support conversations based on psychosocial stress factors
• Pay attention to children's needs
• Work with family support and psychosocial assessments

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

• Is educated as a social worker (socionom) or is a licensed healthcare social worker/counselor
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you

• Have completed Step 1 of psychotherapy education or equivalent
• Have further education in therapeutic methods suitable for treating individuals with PTSD
• Have previous experience working within specialist psychiatry
• Have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
