About the role

We are now looking for a Senior R&D Controller for our partner in Gothenburg, where you will have a central and operationally close role with a focus on budget, forecasts, investments, and financial control within the company's R&D activities.

This is a role for you who likes to create order in complex environments and who thrives on supporting the business while daring to challenge and drive issues forward. You will work broadly with everything from financial monitoring and analysis to improving processes and creating clarity regarding costs, priorities, and future investments.

In summary, your work will include:

• Drive financial monitoring and control of the company's R&D portfolio.
• Work with budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning related to resources and costs.
• Prepare analyses and reports for management with a focus on risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
• Support the business in investments, business cases, and prioritization discussions.
• Create clarity regarding cost drivers, project costs, and financial flows.
• Develop and improve ways of working, KPIs, and financial processes within R&D.
• Be a support and sounding board for managers and senior stakeholders on financial matters.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, R&D, and other parts of the business.
• Contribute to smarter and more efficient ways of working within analysis and reporting.

We are looking for you who have

• A degree in Finance, Economics, Industrial Economics, or similar.
• Significant experience (7+ years) in controlling, FP&A, or business partnering in a complex environment (preferably project-based, industrial, technical, or R&D-intensive operations).
• Documented ability to work with senior stakeholders, influence decisions, and challenge constructively.
• Strong competence in financial analysis, forecasting, performance management, and the ability to translate operational activities into financial impact.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial flows (and how these affect decision-making).
• Advanced skills in Excel and good system understanding.
• Fluent English in both speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you have experience with SAP, Power BI, or a background in R&D controlling, project controlling, or product development environments.

About the employment

The position is a consultancy assignment via OIO with an initial duration of 7 months, with good opportunities for extension and transition to employment with our partner.
