Do you want to work closely with major international suppliers in a role where you can combine business, relationships, and development? At Hedlunda Industri, you will become an important part of an engaged team where we together build tomorrow's sustainable industry – with quality, continuous improvement, and collaboration in focus. We are now looking for a Supply Chain Buyer who wants to grow with us in the heart of Västerbotten.

What we offer you

Here, you will have an important role in a stable and expanding company where we invest long-term – both in operations and our employees. We offer a workplace where people care about each other, where ideas are valued, and where you have the opportunity to influence and develop. For those who wish to grow, there are great opportunities to expand together with the company and gradually shape the role over time.

You will work in a forward-looking industrial company with international collaborations and a warm corporate culture where we develop together. We offer health benefits, access to electric vehicle charging, and the possibility of some remote work by agreement.

About the role

This position is a replacement hire as a valued colleague is retiring. This is an opportunity to step into a key role where you will work closely with our world-leading suppliers, handle major business operations, and become an integral part of a strong, improvement-driven company.

As a Buyer here, you will primarily work operationally with the procurement of direct materials such as timber, packaging, and fittings, as well as some indirect purchases like tools and workwear. The role is varied and includes administrative tasks, delivery planning, supplier contacts, and improvement work. You will work closely with our Supply Chain Manager and sometimes with the CEO in negotiations and more complex matters.

In your daily work, you will handle and follow up on orders, plan deliveries, and book transport related to timber purchases. You are also responsible for invoice processing and supplier documentation, as well as actively working with discrepancies, claims, and improvement initiatives together with our suppliers. The role involves many contact points and close collaborations with, for example, sawmills, packaging, and fitting manufacturers. You will work in Monitor G5 as well as several of our customers' business systems, and travel may be required.

Who are you?

We prefer that you have completed upper secondary education and either have relevant education in purchasing, logistics, or economics, or have previously acquired work experience in the aforementioned fields. You should feel confident working in various business systems; experience with Monitor G5 or a background in the sawmill or wood industry is advantageous, but the most important thing for us is your attitude and willingness to learn new things and develop together with the business.

As a person, you are curious, solution-oriented, and thrive in a role where you can combine precision with a drive to develop working methods and find solutions in daily work. To thrive here, we believe you are structured, self-motivated, and comfortable with responsibility, while also valuing collaboration and contributing to the team's joint development by working independently and taking initiative in everyday tasks.

You enjoy building relationships and creating trust, both internally and externally, and have an interest in business and negotiations. Developing long-term collaborations with suppliers and partners is seen as an important part of your work.

Experience with Lean or continuous improvement work is desirable, as is the ability to read, understand, and interpret extensive standard documents and translate them into clear and practical working methods and routines. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as you will have international contacts. A B-class driver's license is required.
