About the workplace

The Public Environment Unit is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Håbo Municipality's streets, roads, squares, parks, forests, nature areas, street lighting, and schoolyards. The unit also initiates and carries out various investment projects within its area of operations.

As a Street Inspector, you will become part of a work group with approximately 14 employees, where we work together towards a public environment that is sustainably viable for living, working, and visiting.

We offer an stimulating assignment where you, in close collaboration with others, will have an important role in the societal development of Håbo Municipality.

Your tasks

The role of Street Inspector is important in the daily work of the unit. Your main areas of responsibility are to handle, inspect, control, and verify excavation permits and traffic arrangement plans (TA plans).

Your main tasks include, among other things:

• Processing, control, and inspection of cases regarding excavation permits and TA plans.
• Information and communication within the work area, e.g., via website, emergency services network, and the general public.
• Handling correspondence and responsibility for authority exercises within the area of responsibility.
• Control of contractors and subcontractors performing work for Håbo Municipality.
• Answering questions within the work area.

The area of responsibility may also include, among other things:

• Responsibility for the maintenance of road traffic markings.
• Processing and control of land use permits.
• Responding to and processing remiss regarding transport dispensations.
• Bridge structures with supervision and planning of maintenance plans.
• Opportunity to be responsible for smaller investment projects within the public environment.
• Handling feedback and comments.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the unit.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• Experience and/or education within civil engineering and infrastructure.
• Category B driver's license.

Meritorious:

• Experience/education in working with excavation permits and/or TA plans.
• Experience/education within asphalt.
• Experience/education within traffic (local traffic regulations).
• Experience/education in the inspection of civil engineering and infrastructure.
• Experience of projects within streets, parks, or traffic.
• Experience of work within municipal operations.
• Other experience or education that adds value to the described area of responsibility above.
