Welcome to the Culture School
In our world, culture is important. We need spaces for culture. Places that give room for play, creativity, and dreams. Rooms where one can discover, develop, and express oneself. Rooms for imagination!
In the Culture School, children and young people between the ages of 6 and 22 have this space. Here they get the opportunity for their own creation in their spare time in one of the Culture School's many subjects within music, singing, theater, musical, dance, circus, art, and media. Through various events, large and small, students can perform in front of an audience. The teaching is given in own premises, with professional equipment, as well as in schools throughout Stockholm.
Your role
- Piano, singing, and musical.
- Take responsibility for your student groups and work for good contact with the students and their families.
- In consultation with the manager, be responsible for scheduling and follow-up of the schedule, as well as the administration required for the task.
- Together with the manager, colleagues, and students, plan and actively participate in activities based on the Culture School's goals and commitments, such as outward-facing activities, concerts, performances.
- Actively participate in meetings and further education.
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for you who have:
- A university-level education in music pedagogy with singing as the main subject.
Knowledge and experience of teaching:
- in groups. By group teaching, we mean a pronounced group methodology that is based on the individual student's as well as the group's development.
- of all ages that the Culture School targets.
- at both basic and advanced levels.
- in piano.
It is highly meritorious if you have experience of teaching in musical and/or choir.
You should have pedagogical insight and good cooperation skills, as well as be self-reliant and proactive. It is also important that you have good general digital competence and are accustomed to structuring your work independently. Personal suitability will also play a role in the recruitment process.
Conditions
Afternoon and evening work. Working days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Weekend work may occur. The position is located in Rinkeby (1 day per week) and on Kungsholmen (3 days a week). An extract from the criminal record must be presented before employment.
Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
The position may be filled immediately after the application period has ended. A trial lesson may occur as part of the recruitment process.
