Posithiva Group works to improve the conditions for everyone living with HIV by offering social meeting places, support at individual and group levels, and knowledge-raising initiatives. We also monitor rights and work to increase knowledge about HIV and combat stigma and prejudice in society at large. Our work is guided and shaped by people who themselves live with HIV.

We are now looking for a new Managing Director for the organization. As Managing Director, you will play a key role in developing operations and improving the conditions for people living with HIV in Sweden. You are responsible for leading and monitoring the operations in accordance with the association's statutes, objectives, and decisions made by the board. The role entails overall responsibility for both daily operations and long-term development.

The work as Managing Director involves

  • planning, leading, and monitoring daily operations
  • preparing materials and reports for the board and implementing decisions made
  • developing and monitoring the business plan and goals
  • being responsible for the budget, financial monitoring, and reporting
  • ensuring efficient use of resources
  • initiating and driving development and improvement work
  • representing the organization in external contacts
  • contributing to a good work environment where employees can develop and thrive long-term.

We are looking for you who

  • have relevant education or equivalent work experience
  • have at least three years of experience in leadership and operational management
  • have good knowledge of economics and budgeting
  • are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • are communicative, empathetic, and humble
  • are a secure, clear, and structured leader with experience in personnel responsibility.

It is an advantage if you

  • live with HIV yourself
  • are accustomed to taking responsibility for priorities, monitoring, and the overall picture in an operation
  • have experience and/or knowledge of HIV, SRHR, and LGBTQ+ issues
  • have knowledge of peer support work
  • master additional languages
  • have worked or been involved in the non-profit sector.

To succeed in the role, it is important that you have good collaboration skills and can build trusting relationships with the board, employees, members, and external partners. You work solution-oriented and have the ability to drive issues forward, even during periods of high pace or change.

Salary and terms

According to collective agreement.

Scope and start date

The position is 100% and is a permanent employment with goal-directed working hours. The working hours may include evenings, weekends, and travel.

Start date as soon as possible according to agreement. The position begins with a six-month probationary period.
