Our Operations

The Infectious Diseases Department has a regional and county-wide responsibility for specialized infectious disease care, providing both outpatient and inpatient services to residents within and outside the county. The clinic runs a large emergency department with its own primary on-call service 24/7. We have a care ward where we treat patients with severe infectious diseases. We also have extensive consultation duties across the entire hospital. The specialty of infectious diseases represents a defined area of knowledge requiring specific competence in the care of severe infectious diseases.

Your Role

As a resident physician here, you will primarily work in our emergency department as part of the primary on-call team or as a ward resident. As a university clinic, we are heavily involved in the teaching of medical students. Working as part of the primary on-call team includes teaching and supervising medical students and interns (AT-doctors) in daily work. You will always have close access to good supervision from experienced colleagues.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with a particular interest in infectious medicine. Previous experience working within infectious and emergency healthcare is advantageous.

Your Competencies

We are looking for you who are flexible, solution-oriented, and able to handle a high work pace. Naturally, the patient is always your focus. You have good ability to communicate your clinical assessments and decisions to both colleagues and other staff, as well as to patients and relatives. Experience in teaching, research, leadership, and change management is advantageous, as is experience working with the medical record system Cosmic. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and good teamwork skills.

We Offer

Fixed-term employment for up to 12 months, starting in August-September 2026. Full-time. The position includes on-call duties (day, evening, night, weekend) as well as teaching medical students and interns in clinical work.
