Description

The Psychiatry Business Area within Hospitals West is responsible for psychiatric specialist care for children, young people, and adults in the municipalities of Kungälv, Kärra-Rödbo, Stenungsund, Tjörn, and Ale. The operations include adult psychiatric and child and adolescent psychiatric outpatient clinics, two inpatient wards for adults, an emergency clinic, mobile teams, and specialized units for LARO, DBT, and Eating Disorders.

The Unit

The Eating Disorder Unit is a specialist unit located at Kungälv Hospital, approximately a 20-minute bus ride from Gothenburg. The clinic consists of a well-functioning team of doctors, nurses, care assistants, occupational therapists, dietitians, and physiotherapists.

The unit's mission is to provide specialized eating disorder care for both children and adults. The treatment offerings include, among other things, day care, family therapy, and individual outpatient interventions. The unit is now receiving strengthened resources to offer day care for children.

The assignment involves establishing a family day care service, which creates a need for additional staff reinforcement.

We plan to work on the design of our new family day care service during the autumn, where the team, doctors, and unit manager, together with other stakeholders, will review treatment offerings, facilities, and working methods. We hope our new employees will be in place soon so that everyone can participate in this exciting development work and have the opportunity to influence future tasks.

Tasks

As a psychologist at the unit, you will work in a team with various professions. The tasks include assessment, investigation, and treatment of patients of all ages, family work, and continuous team work. Additionally, you will perform in-depth assessments when necessary.

The development opportunities for you as a psychologist in our operations are significant. We view competence development in the form of supervision and education within the field positively. We offer individualized introduction, where the setup is made in consultation with you.

Access to both team and professional supervision is available.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist with a focus on CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Meritorious is experience from psychiatric operations, eating disorder care, and family therapy.

You will join a staff group with a good climate, high competence, and well-established basic structures to build upon.

We work extensively in teams, therefore we place great emphasis on cooperation skills and personal suitability. We are looking for someone who is secure in their professional role but simultaneously curious about others' perspectives. The ability to switch between independent work and collaborative efforts is an important trait.

Other

We require extracts from the crime register and suspicion register for all offered positions within the Psychiatry operations.
