About the assignment We are looking for a Data Protection Coordinator for a consulting assignment at a government agency in Gothenburg. The assignment starts immediately and runs through the year, with a possibility of extension. The scope is 100% full-time. The work is primarily performed at the client's premises in Gothenburg, with remote work possible.

Your responsibilities

You will be responsible for driving and coordinating the agency's work regarding data protection and personal data management. The role involves providing internal support and advice, as well as contributing to the development of working methods, routines, and governing documents in the area.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinating the handling of personal data incidents and register extracts.
• Managing registers of personal data processing activities.
• Providing support for impact assessments and personal data processing agreements.
• Developing, revising, and following up on governing documents within the data protection area.
• Informing and training internally within the area.
• Supporting the Information Security Coordinator with information security, risk analyses, and incident management.
• Participating in projects, development work, and environmental scanning within the framework of the assignment.

Your qualifications

• A university degree or other post-secondary education in a field relevant to the assignment, such as information security, archival and information science, or law.
• Good knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
• At least one year of experience working systematically and practically with data protection issues.

Merits

• Experience from the public sector.
• Knowledge of the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, the Archives Act, and the Cyber Security Act.
