For the municipality's new school organization, we are looking for a Special Educator for the adapted primary school, with a focus on subject areas. This is a role where you shape the future for our students

We are looking for a special educator who wants to help build and develop our operations for students within the adapted primary school at the training school level. You will have a central role where you combine direct student work with the development of operations at all levels. As a special educator with us, you will have the opportunity to shape and develop working methods, supervise colleagues, conduct pedagogical investigations before enrollment, and work supportively towards both students and staff. DUTIES

The position is located in our central student health services where you collaborate with psychologists, counselors, school nurses, and school doctors in an interdisciplinary team. As a special educator with us, you will have a broad and developing role where you work on several levels. You are there from the beginning and shape how we work with our students in the adapted primary school at the training school level. You develop methods, structures, and learning environments that put the students' prerequisites and needs at the center.

• You work supportively and supervisory towards both students and staff in the adapted primary school throughout the municipality
• You become an important resource and conversation partner for colleagues who meet students with special needs.
• You are responsible for conducting pedagogical investigations before enrollment in the adapted primary school.
• Meet children, parents, and operations where the student previously had their education.
• Map pedagogical needs and give recommendations that become the basis for the students' continued schooling.

You work closely with the students in their daily lives, develop pedagogical methods and adaptations, and follow up and evaluate interventions together with teachers and student resources.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who see opportunities where others see challenges and have a genuine interest in working with children and young people with intellectual disabilities and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities.

You are a licensed teacher with a supplementary education in special pedagogy, preferably with experience working within the adapted primary school, especially at the training school level.

We are looking for you who:

• Want to help shape and develop an operation from scratch
• Enjoy working both independently and in teams
• Have the ability to create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
• Are structured and can document and convey knowledge

Meritorious for the position is:

• Experience in investigation and mapping work
• Knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC)
• Experience in supervision and competence development
