This is your mission

As a Storage Platform Technician at the Swedish Security Service, you will be part of a team responsible for the storage platforms used by the agency.

Your responsibilities include the operation and lifecycle management of storage solutions as well as the operation and lifecycle management of physical hardware. You will also work on establishing new functionality within the storage platforms. Monitoring developments in this technical area is a natural part of your daily work.

Your workplace is at the headquarters in Solna. The work is performed on-site, which means you do not have the option to work remotely. Travel within and outside of Sweden may occur.

These are the qualifications we are looking for

Only candidates who meet the requirements listed below will be considered for the position.

• Relevant education or equivalent work experience as assessed by the Swedish Security Service
• Several years of work experience with storage platforms
• Very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Good ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing

The position requires Swedish citizenship.

You may also possess competencies that add breadth and complementary perspectives. If you can contribute with any or all of the following, it is meritorious:

• Work experience in large, complex IT environments
• Experience working with automation
• Knowledge of virtual platforms, backup management, physical hardware, networks, firewalls, Linux, and/or Windows Server
• Experience with object storage
• Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN)
• Experience in planning and establishing platforms for societal-critical IT solutions

Terms of Employment

Employment at the Swedish Security Service involves placement in a security clearance level that requires Swedish citizenship. A successful result in the security investigation with register check, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act, is also required for employment.

This is a permanent position starting with a six-month probationary period. We apply individual salary setting. Employment includes an obligation to be placed in wartime duties (krigsplacering).
