About Us

Närhälsan Styrsö Health Centre is a small clinic located in the southern archipelago of Gothenburg. Approximately 4,500 residents live year-round on five of our islands, and just over 4,000 of them are registered at Styrsö Health Centre. Despite the proximity to Gothenburg, work at Styrsö Health Centre has a clear rural character. In addition to general practice and child health services (BVC), our doctors have special housing responsibilities and provide Advanced Home-Based Integrated Care (ASIH) as needed. We collaborate closely with HSV, which is located in our premises. We are there for our patients from cradle to grave. On our smaller islands, we also have satellite clinics and our own rehabilitation clinic with physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

About the Role

Your duties at the health centre cover a broad field, encompassing general medicine where you meet patients of all ages and situations. You work in a health-promoting, advisory, and therapeutic capacity in primary care, both via telephone, home visits, digital care meetings, and at the clinic.

The work involves both emergency and planned operations. You work largely independently with your own clinic, where you triage, treat, and follow up with patients. Close collaboration occurs with your colleagues at the unit and cross-professionally in the team, as well as with other actors such as home healthcare and other specialist care. Together with the health centre management, you are responsible for developing and driving the operations forward. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, so supervising students is also included as part of your role at the health centre.

About You

You are a registered nurse, preferably with specialist training as a district nurse. It is an advantage if you have experience working in primary care and/or have completed a 7.5 credit supervisor course, but we also welcome newly graduated candidates.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative at work and is confident in making independent decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can prioritize your tasks effectively.

In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you enjoy teamwork and have a natural ability to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts in your work. You can express yourself well both verbally and in writing, and are an engaged and good listener during both digital meetings and clinic visits. We would appreciate it if you had an interest in digitalization and operational development.

Other Information

The position is a one-year fixed-term contract from 2026-09-01 to 2027-09-01, with an employment level of 70-100% according to agreement with the manager.

Travel for work purposes occurs, and a Category B driver's license is required.

About the Recruitment Process

Selection takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who invite relevant candidates to a phone interview. The hiring manager then makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them to an interview at the health centre.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that answers to questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe concrete situations as much as possible and try to avoid generalized answers – this is so we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
