Do you enjoy technology, structure, and public service, and want a job where it actually matters if you do a good job? Do you want to take IT technical responsibility and work in an environment where security, efficiency, digitalization, and innovation are in focus? Then look no further. As a System Administrator with a specialization in IT with us, you help ensure that Sweden's air traffic flows safely, securely, and smoothly – every day.

We are now looking for a System Administrator, or as we call the role within LFV – Functional Manager. This is a role within our adapted system administration model according to PM3, where you, as an expert in system/administration areas, share responsibility for its administration phase. The role requires IT breadth, a high understanding of the big picture, and a liking for being the hub of the network.

As one of our colleagues has moved on to another role within LFV, we are looking for a new colleague to take on the role of Functional Manager within administrative systems. You will become an important part of the Common Infrastructure unit and within the Business Applications group.

About Us

The Common Infrastructure unit is responsible for maintaining operations in various areas and developing and administering general technical infrastructure. We have system ownership for LFV's administrative system areas, IT infrastructure, and buildings with associated utility systems.

About the Role

As a Functional Manager within the Business Applications group, you will work with administration and have IT technical responsibility for several of LFV's administrative business systems. The work involves participating in the implementation and administration of both business systems and other business-critical systems. The business system includes modules for finance, service and maintenance, as well as projects.

The role also involves participating in the development, planning, and analysis of various administration activities, as well as responsibility for carrying out and following up on planned measures. Furthermore, it includes close collaboration with administration managers to plan and handle both current and future needs, as well as handling acute problems and operational disruptions. You will also have external contacts with current system suppliers and operational subcontractors.

The Administration Manager has overall responsibility for systems with associated budget responsibility, requirements from the business and external environment, legal requirements, etc., as well as system developers and the system's users and colleagues within and outside the own group. The operations are spread across several locations, which means that some business travel may occur.

The work involves:

  • Participating in the implementation of a new business system covering finance, Service and Maintenance, and the Project module.
  • Involvement in the development, planning, and analysis of administration activities.
  • Execution and follow-up of planned activities.
  • Close dialogue with System Managers to plan and execute current and future needs.
  • Handling of acute problems and operational disruptions.
  • Contact with, for example, field technicians, accountants, and controllers.

We are looking for you who

  • Have a post-secondary education in IT, for example, as a systems scientist. Alternatively, you have equivalent work experience in the area.
  • Have an understanding of different databases and SQL.
  • Have good IT competence and experience of support and problem-solving with suppliers.
  • Have good experience of system administration in Windows environments.
  • Have experience of administration work within administrative IT systems.
  • Can communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
  • Have knowledge of Business Systems, such as setting up permissions, rules, and to some extent new functionality.
  • Are accustomed to working with and defining integrations.

Meritorious:

  • Experience of software development.
  • Experience and knowledge of Linux environments.
  • Experience and understanding of IT security issues.
  • Experience of conducting preliminary studies and needs analyses.
  • Experience in requirements specification and verification of requirements.
  • Experience of troubleshooting in IT infrastructure.

Personal qualities:

We are looking for you who have a great interest in IT and have acquired knowledge and understanding of the interaction between humans, organizations, and IT. You have a natural drive and focus energy and resources on projects and tasks that add value. As a person, you are solution-oriented, analytically minded, and can foresee problems and, if necessary, identify alternative solutions. For you, it is natural to collaborate rather than compete; you work towards common goals and help out in the way needed for the group to perform. You have good communication skills and ensure that others are kept informed. You are also a good listener and try to understand in order to be understood. You feel comfortable having large contact surfaces with different groups that have different interests and backgrounds.
