Eriksdalsgården is a pleasant and well-functioning residence located in a quiet area on a dead-end street in the popular Luthagen district. The facility consists of two care units with a total of 40 residents, with 20 people living on each unit.

Here, you will meet a pleasant environment with a stable, competent, and dedicated night shift team that values collaboration, responsibility, and security in work.

We actively work to give our residents that little extra in daily life – with care, quality, and a person-centered approach. Here, you become part of a team passionate about creating a meaningful and secure existence for our elderly.

The night shift position covers 75%. Opportunities for full-time work exist, meaning 75% is allocated to night shifts and the remaining 25% to evening shifts.

Your Role

As a night nurse here, you are responsible for providing our residents with secure, safe, and dignified care during the night hours. You work in a person-centered manner and adapt care to each individual's needs, for example, through support with personal hygiene, moving, and toilet visits.

The role includes conducting regular checks and night rounds to ensure the residents' security and well-being. You also handle alarms and emergency situations, as well as perform certain service tasks such as cleaning.

Collaboration with colleagues and other professional groups is an important part of the work to maintain high quality in care.

Documentation is carried out continuously according to current guidelines and legislation.

Your Background

We are looking for you who:

  • Are a certified nursing assistant with a protected professional title according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements
  • Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Have experience as a nursing assistant from work in hospitals, short-term care, or specialized housing

It is an advantage if you are experienced in documentation and feel confident documenting in journals according to current routines and guidelines.

As a person, you are proactive and take responsibility for your work by independently identifying what needs to be done. Furthermore, you are flexible and can adapt to changing situations with a calm and professional approach. As a person, you have good collaboration skills and are attentive in contact with both colleagues and residents. You are also highly service-oriented, meaning you are observant, accommodating, and have a strong desire to help others, which contributes to creating a secure, stable, and respectful environment for the residents.

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title. To use the title "nursing assistant," you must provide proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.

Employment with Uppsala Municipality may involve being placed on the war establishment (civil defense).
