We are looking for you who want to become an important support in the daily lives of other people. As a care assistant with us in this position, you will receive an extended introduction to safely enter the role and have good conditions for succeeding in the assignment with us. Here, your ability to see others, willingness to support, and personal suitability for the assignment are of utmost importance.

The Role of Care Assistant with Us

As a care assistant in elderly care, you work to support and facilitate the daily lives of older people. No formal education in care and nursing is required for the role, but we are looking for you with great engagement, good treatment of others, and a desire to learn new things and develop.

In your role as a care assistant, you work with service and care-related tasks, for example:

• Provide social support and companionship to the elderly
• Help with simpler daily chores, such as setting/clearing tables for meals
• Support with mobility and daily activities
• Help with hygiene, such as toilet visits and showering
• Contribute to a safe and pleasant environment
• Collaborate with colleagues in care and nursing
• Handle medication according to delegation from authorized personnel

The assignment may increase in complexity depending on your suitability/competence for the task and your goals. The schedule you will work according to is set for days, evenings, and every other weekend.

Introduction and Support

In this position, you will receive a structured and in-depth introduction through theoretical reviews and on-the-job training.

During three weeks, you will learn:

• Basic information about elderly care and treatment
• Routines and work methods
• Safety and hygiene
• Ongoing support and inclusion with others in the introduction.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in people and professional treatment in all situations. You are sensitive to the individual's needs, show care and respect in your work. To succeed in the role, you need a good ability to learn new things. As a care assistant with us, it is important to be proactive, have good collaboration skills, and have a good ability to prioritize when the workday offers variation and rapid changes. You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

We are looking for you who:

• are 18 years or older
• hold a B driver's license (only a requirement for some units)

Our Offer and Other Information

We offer a permanent full-time position with a start date of September 14. Since you will be part of an extended introduction together with others, you need to be able to start your employment on September 14.

Before an employment offer is made, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record must be presented. The type of record extract to be requested is Work in the home with elderly and persons with disabilities. Background checks may be conducted before employment.

From July 1, 2023, 'nurse assistant' (undersköterska) is a protected job title.
