Job Responsibilities

As a nurse in our urological ward, you will work with the care of patients with acute conditions, such as kidney stone pain, hematuria, and urosepsis, catheter care, pre- and post-operative care, pain management, and other symptomatic treatment. Urology covers acute and non-acute diseases in the upper and lower urinary tracts of men and women, as well as in male reproductive organs. We perform robotic surgery for prostatectomies, cystectomies, and nephrectomies.

You will be part of a team with doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and secretaries where good cooperation and team spirit are in focus. About the Workplace

We at the Urology Clinic work with specialized urological care in Halland. The clinic consists of over 70 employees. We have outpatient activities in Varberg, Kungsbacka, and Halmstad with contact nurses, urotherapists, cystoscopists, doctors, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. The inpatient ward is located in Varberg and receives patients from all over Halland.

For us at Ward 2A, it is important that you enjoy your workplace, and we therefore strive for everyone to have a good working environment. We are a cheerful and lovely group where everyone helps each other, providing a secure and fun workplace! We believe that effective rounds, clear routines, and continuity are important. To have more time for the patients, you will receive support both in the care administrative work and with care-related services such as cleaning, storage, patient kitchen, etc. Here, nurses and nursing assistants work in teams with a large focus on development and improvement work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. It is meritorious with a few years of professional experience, but not a requirement. Based on your experience, we offer you a structured introduction and ongoing competence development. It is meritorious to have experience within urology and inpatient care.

You who apply for the position are engaged, take initiative, and have the courage to try new things. You have a positive outlook towards modern healthcare. Furthermore, we see that you value collegial cooperation highly as we work closely in our teams. You are good at showing care and sensitivity towards patients, relatives, and colleagues.
