Job Description
Do you enjoy working with your hands, have a strong interest in electricity or mechanics, and want a fast-paced summer? We are now looking for two dedicated service technicians for a summer assignment with a global, leading company in the transport sector in Umeå.
About the Role
In this role, you will become an important part of a competent and engaged team that ensures the technology runs smoothly. We are looking for you who have experience or education in electricity or mechanics and who want to develop in a role full of technical challenges. The assignment spans approximately 3 months with a desired start date in early June. The work is full-time and gives you a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in modern technical maintenance.
You will work with varied and practical maintenance and repair tasks on complex vehicles. The tasks range from electrical troubleshooting to heavier mechanical work.

Responsibilities
Your main tasks:
- Electrical work: Troubleshooting using technical documentation, as well as installation and replacement of electrical equipment (e.g., everything from push buttons to larger components).
- Mechanical work: Wheel changes, troubleshooting of pneumatics, and window replacements.
- Interior maintenance: Repair of interiors and general adjustments in carriages.
- Safety checks: Check and ensure the roadworthiness of vehicles before they are put into use.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a practical streak and enjoy physical and technical work.
Requirements:
- Fluent Swedish, both in speech and writing (to be able to understand safety instructions and documentation).
Preferred:
- Experience or education in electricity or mechanics.
