Previous experience is desired
Do you want to create structure, foresight, and efficient production flows in technically advanced projects?
BS Verkstäder is a privately owned company characterized by an entrepreneurial spirit, good business contacts, high employee satisfaction, and a positive collaborative climate. We are specialists in life extension and maintenance of all types of railway vehicles and an established partner to the Nordic railway industry.
We are now looking for a Production Planner with an eye for the big picture, details, and collaboration who wants to plan, coordinate, and optimize our production in a varied and technically complex operation.
About the role
As a Production Planner at BS Verkstäder, you are responsible for creating long-term and operational planning that supports our projects and daily production. You are the link between projects, production, personnel, and resources, working to ensure good foresight, high delivery precision, and efficient resource utilization.
The role is central to the business and involves close collaboration with estimators, production managers, and project managers.
Our operations
We work with all types of railway vehicles, including:
- Work machines
- Freight wagons
- Electric and diesel locomotives
- Multiple-unit trains (electric and diesel)
- Passenger coaches
Common tasks for us include:
- Life extensions and conversions
- Design and manufacture of new machines
- Collision damage repairs
- Service and maintenance
Responsibilities
In the role of Production Planner, you will among other things:
- Plan and monitor production flows in the short and long term
- Coordinate resources such as personnel, machinery, and workshop capacity
- Ensure resource and workshop availability prior to production
- Support production and project management in planning matters
- Identify risks, bottlenecks, and capacity challenges in a timely manner
- Contribute to improvement work regarding planning, processes, and efficiency
- Monitor planned vs. actual production regarding time and resource consumption
Who are you?
You are structured, analytical, and like to have control over the big picture. At the same time, you are flexible and solution-oriented as a person, as the conditions vary every day. You thrive in a role where collaboration and communication are crucial.
We would like you to:
- Have experience in production planning, project planning, or a similar role
- Be accustomed to working with planning or business systems
- Have a good ability to prioritize, structure, and work with foresight
- Have a business understanding of time, cost, and resource utilization
- Be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written
Previous experience with Monitor is an advantage, but not a requirement. Experience from railway or track-related operations is also an advantage – you will quickly get up to speed with our flows.
Do you lack some of the experience but have a strong interest, a good foundation, and a willingness to develop? Apply anyway! We value engagement and the right attitude highly.
What we offer
- An important role in a stable, privately owned, and growing company
- A varied and technically interesting environment
