About our carbon capture facility

In Värtan, where our combined heat and power plant already produces sustainable electricity and heat from residual products such as chips, branches, and tops from the forestry industry, we are now building a full-scale carbon capture facility to create even greater climate benefits.

Bio-CCS is a technology that captures biogenic carbon dioxide before it reaches the atmosphere, to then be stored permanently in the bedrock, creating negative emissions because the carbon dioxide is removed from the biogenic cycle. Permanent negative emissions are the tool that can be used to counteract emissions that are difficult or impossible to eliminate. It is a necessary puzzle piece to reach climate goals and net-zero emissions.

The facility will be able to capture up to 800,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year – more than all of Stockholm's road traffic emits during the same period.

What can we offer you?

As an experienced project manager at Stockholm Exergi's project office, you have a central role in driving complex investment projects through the entire project lifecycle. You lead the work from early feasibility studies and pre-engineering, through procurement and execution, to closure, in close collaboration with project teams and internal clients. Your responsibility is to ensure delivery according to agreed goals for time, scope, quality, and budget, while contributing to developing our collective project management capability.

Our projects are an important part of Stockholm Exergi's energy business and include investments in energy-producing facilities, larger distribution projects, and business development initiatives that shape future energy solutions. We are now strengthening the project office with an additional project manager with a focus on mechanics and process, where your competence will be crucial in turning decided plans into executed projects.

You will become part of a project office with broad competence, where you can learn from other project managers and benefit from their experiences to develop, both as a project manager and by contributing to a more efficient project process. For our mechanics and process projects, we see that you have a background in mechanical engineering and/or combined heat and power production.

The position is a permanent employment.

Working hours: Daytime.

Location: Involves work at the company's facilities, based at Campus, our headquarters in Hjorthagen.

Requirements

• Civil engineer, university engineer, or equivalent experience
• Experience in project management
• Good knowledge and understanding of Process/Mechanics within power and heat production
• Experience in driving investment projects
• Good knowledge of PMI or similar project methodology
• Fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English
• Class B driver's license
