Close Protection Division

We are developing our operations and continuing to enhance our capabilities in close protection to meet our customers' needs with high quality. Stefan Hagström is the head of the division and looks forward to developing Securitas' delivery in this segment.

Are you a trained security guard or police officer, and ready to become part of the close protection division at Sweden's largest security company?

Here, you will work with competent and engaged colleagues on a very socially important mission. Securitas aims to be at the forefront of close protection services from a broad perspective and is now looking for new colleagues who want to be part of this work.

As a close protection officer, you will work with the protection of individuals in various types of environments. The nature of our assignments varies and is tailored to each customer. At Securitas, no two days are alike, and the variety of new challenges is what motivates and develops us.

We prioritize education and training in tactics, weapons, first aid, and close combat. Free access to a shooting range, training hall, and gym in our own facilities creates good conditions for high competence in conflict management. There are also good opportunities to develop within various specialist functions within the division.

Stockholm is the base for the position, although both domestic and international travel occur, and working hours will vary.

If you do not already have a close protection training certificate, you will undergo training in Stockholm from August to September 2026.

Requirements

• Valid security guard training, or alternatively police training
• Two years of experience in security
• Category B driver's license
• Good level of spoken and understood English

The job requires you to be stress-resistant and able to maintain calm even in pressured situations. You have good social skills and can adapt your behavior based on the people and environments you work with. You are a structured person with an eye for detail, and it goes without saying that you are loyal to the assignment and the task.

Protecting an individual is a highly qualified form of security that places demands on various personal qualities. Therefore, great emphasis will be placed on assessing these qualities.

Security Check

Note that the position is classified and involves undergoing a security check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements for approval under current regulations, security interviews, background checks, and register checks will be conducted. The assessment aims to investigate law-abidingness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities according to the Security Service's regulations and guidelines. Information collected may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment of you and your life situation, as well as financial circumstances, when evaluating your suitability.

In some cases, a corresponding check may be conducted on the person you live with or have a similar relationship with.

To be considered for the position, you must (at a minimum):

• Not appear in the Swedish Police Authority's various registers, e.g., suspicion register or criminal record.
• Have a sound financial situation; no payment defaults, unregulated debts, presence with collection agencies, or the Swedish Enforcement Authority.

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, you are required to have approved grades in Swedish from the first year of high school and be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company (the application is made by Securitas). A background check and security interview are conducted prior to application to assess if the candidate meets the requirements for law-abidingness, suitability, and civic reliability, and has no vulnerabilities. Having a sound financial situation with no unregulated debts is a requirement.
