Accountant to Group Accounting – Avarda Bank AB

We are now looking for an Accountant to join our headquarters in Borås.

About the role

As an Accountant, you will be part of Group Accounting at Avarda Bank's headquarters and report to the Head of Group Accountants.

You will handle the accounting for both Avarda Bank AB and TF Bank Nordic, taking on a broad role with contact points for operations in several European countries. The role offers you a unique opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the bank's payment flows, accounting, and financial processes.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Reconciliation of bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
• Monitoring and control of payment flows and transactions
• Handling supplier invoices and payments
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual closing
• Reporting and analysis
• Ongoing accounting and account reconciliations
• Participation in improvement, automation, and digitalization projects

The work is varied, and you will gradually have the opportunity to work with several different areas within the accounting function.

We are looking for someone who has

• A degree in Economics from a university or college with a focus on accounting, or who is graduating in spring/summer 2026
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Good skills in Excel and other Office programs
• An interest in accounting, analysis, and improvement work

It is meritorious if you have

• Experience of accounting through work, internship, or summer jobs
• Experience with account reconciliations or closing work
• Experience from the banking, finance, or audit industry
• Experience with business or economic systems
• Interest in or experience with AI, automation, and digitalization of financial processes
