We are now looking for an experienced Accountant for a long-term consultancy assignment with our client. This assignment is ideal for you who thrive with broad responsibility within accounting and want to work in a business where you can combine operational work with improvement and development initiatives.

This is a role for you who has a solid accounting background, is confident in taking independent responsibility, and appreciates working closely with both operations and the finance department in a larger organization.

About the Assignment

As an Accountant, you will have overall responsibility for several smaller companies and work with the entire accounting flow – from ongoing bookkeeping to year-end closing and reporting. The role also involves participating in internal projects and working to streamline processes and routines within the finance function.

You will work in close collaboration with colleagues within finance and other parts of the business and are expected to contribute with structure, quality, and an improvement-driven approach.

Responsibilities

The role includes, among other things:

• Responsibility for ongoing accounting for several companies
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing
• Prepare annual reports
• Handle VAT and tax declarations
• Ensure correct accounting according to current regulations
• Participate in analyses and reconciliations
• Contribute to improvement and change work within the finance function
• Contribute to internal projects and development initiatives
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

We are looking for you who

We believe you are a confident and self-reliant Accountant with several years of experience in qualified accounting work. You are accustomed to taking personal responsibility, work meticulously, and have an easy time prioritizing and structuring your work.

To succeed in the role, we would like you to have:

• An academic degree in economics or accounting
• At least 8 years of experience in accounting
• Experience with ongoing accounting and independent closing work
• Good knowledge of annual reporting as well as VAT and tax handling
• Experience working in larger organizations or group environments
• Good system proficiency and experience with financial systems
• Very good skills in Excel
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

• Agresso / Unit4 ERP
• Change and improvement work
• Process development within finance and accounting
