Boliden is a high-tech metal company with its own mines and smelters, working long-term to guarantee society's access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that have shaped modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will play a crucial role in the future – what matters is how we produce them. Become part of us and drive change for future generations.

Do you want to contribute to the development of sustainable and efficient maintenance processes within the mining and process industry? As a Maintenance Engineer with us, you will work with preventive maintenance, condition-based maintenance, and operational reliability in a business where technology, collaboration, and long-term thinking go hand in hand. The role gives you the opportunity to influence working methods, improve availability, and create value in a business that is important for societal development. Here you will both develop in your professional role and contribute to something greater.

Your role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you work on developing and further developing maintenance work within Boliden Mines. You contribute to both strategic and operational issues related to maintenance strategies, asset management, and improvement work.

You analyze needs, identify development opportunities, and translate these into concrete actions. The work takes place in close collaboration with operations, where you are a support in daily life and simultaneously contribute to driving development forward together with other functions.

The role involves collaboration with several of our operations, which means that travel is included as a natural part of the assignment. This gives you the opportunity to build relationships, exchange experiences, and contribute to development in different parts of the organization.

Your team

You will become part of an experienced and collaborative team consisting of maintenance engineers, mechanical engineers, and specialists in maintenance systems such as Maximo and SAP.

The team works closely with production, technology, and project operations and is characterized by knowledge sharing, openness, and a shared responsibility for development. There is natural support in daily life and good opportunities to learn from each other.

Your responsibilities

  • Identify and analyze areas for improvement within maintenance and operational reliability
  • Conduct root cause analyses and develop sustainable solutions
  • Develop and improve working methods within preventive and predictive maintenance
  • Participate in and drive improvement work related to availability and cost-effectiveness
  • Work in and develop the use of maintenance systems (Maximo/SAP)
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators within maintenance
  • Collaborate with production and technology in both daily and development-oriented work
  • Contribute to spreading knowledge and good working practices within the organization

Your contribution

To thrive in the role, we see that you appreciate working together with others and that you contribute to a structured and solution-oriented work environment. You create understanding through dialogue and build trust in collaborations.

You have the ability to create structure in complex issues and work methodically to achieve results. At the same time, you are flexible and adapt to changing needs. Here, we value your willingness to learn, develop, and contribute to common goals.

We are looking for you who have:

  • Post-secondary education in engineering, maintenance, or equivalent
  • Experience of working within maintenance, industry, or process operations
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience in reliability engineering or asset management
  • Knowledge in condition-based or predictive maintenance
  • Experience with maintenance systems such as Maximo or SAP
  • Background in mechanical engineering or production technology
  • Experience in structured improvement work

We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all requirements – we value your potential and your willingness to develop.
