We are looking for 1 Nurse for a permanent position (37 hours/week).

We are also looking for 1 Nurse for on-call service with some evening and weekend shifts.

The Role

We are currently seeking a Nurse or Specialist Nurse for our ASIH (Advanced Hospital-based Home Care) operation located in Tyresö.

As a nurse within the ASIH operation, you work with severely ill patients in their homes. You meet various patient categories with different diagnoses and at different stages of their illness. We serve as a complement to inpatient care in Stockholm County and provide care at the appropriate level, where patients requiring advanced interventions are cared for at home.

The work is based on a multiprofessional team consisting of doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and social workers. We work in a person-centered manner and have a clear role in the care chain in collaboration with other healthcare providers.

Your duties include performing medical interventions in the patient's home, such as nutritional therapy, hydration, infection treatment, pain relief, and end-of-life care. Many patients spend their final days at home with our help.

The work also involves coordinating care with specialist clinics around Stockholm, such as our oncology clinics, by preparing patients for various treatments through sampling and transfusions.

You will plan, perform, and evaluate the patient's nursing care. You will work independently by making your own assessments at home and performing interventions according to guidelines, after consultation with doctors.

The Workplace

ASIH Tyresö/Söderort is a small healthcare provider that has been working on behalf of Stockholm County since October 2015. We are an organization where we work close to patients and have short decision-making paths.

We offer individually adapted onboarding with a mentor during the first 6 months. We also provide advanced education in palliative care at PKC during working hours. Palliative education worth 7.5 credits is paid for after 1 year of employment.

We have a mobile PICC line team at the unit. They insert PICC lines at home and in hospitals, and we also have a PICC clinic in Solna and Tyresö.

We are running several innovation projects in our operations, such as work with medication dispensing machines within ASIH and laser treatment as a complement in wound care.

Who are you?

You are responsible and enjoy working both independently and in a team. You are engaged and drive care forward. You have experience in palliative care and emergency healthcare.
