The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (Naturvårdsverket) drives and coordinates work for a good living environment together with others. With us, you get to contribute to the important work of achieving our vision – to create a good living environment for humans and all other living things, now and for future generations!
Are you a BI Developer who wants to contribute to improving the environment for current and future generations?
We are looking for a BI Developer who will play a central role in our ongoing digital transformation journey. You will work at the intersection of business and technology, focusing on transforming data into insights that support decision-making and development.
You will be part of the work to develop, maintain, and further develop the agency's BI solutions, contributing to creating structure in data and making information accessible in a clear and useful way for the business. You will join during a build-up phase where the agency's BI capability is continuously developing, offering you the opportunity to contribute to a more cohesive, data-driven, and future-oriented organization.
The Development and Architecture unit works broadly, shifting between strategic and operational perspectives. We are involved in larger development projects and government assignments. A clear customer focus permeates the entire unit, where we drive and create conditions for the agency's joint development and ensure that development occurs in collaboration and aligns with the agency's common target image.
Your responsibilities
As a BI Developer with us, you help create conditions for a more data-driven way of working. You help us take the next step in how we use data, from collection and structure to analysis and decision-making.
You work both operationally and development-oriented, helping to shape how we build our BI solutions, working methods, and common structures moving forward.
With us, you have the opportunity to work at strategic, tactical, and operational levels, influence the direction for both business and development, and contribute to becoming a more cohesive, data-driven, and future-oriented organization.
You will join a dedicated BI team. Together with other team members, you work in dialogue with the relevant business units regarding development and maintenance throughout the entire data flow, from data collection to report design.
The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's IT environment is currently largely outsourced for technical development, operations, and maintenance. You will therefore be part of building the agency's internal development competence while working together with experienced external resources.

Personal qualities
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities, and it is important that you can understand and relate to the business's purpose, goals, and strategies in your work. You are proactive and enjoy working in teams with different competencies. You are also methodical and structured, but have a pragmatic approach that means you value the result higher than the structure and methods themselves.
