The Technology Acceleration area within Group IT is responsible for establishing the future IT landscape. This will serve as the foundation for PostNord's continued journey towards becoming AI and data-driven. As an AI Engineer, your focus will be on addressing business challenges using AI in software. Within the AI team, you will work in an experimental manner with new AI technologies. You will develop POCs and MVPs into enterprise solutions. Our vision is to drastically increase development speed by creating AI Agent Factories to augment AI Engineers in their work.

Job duties

• Understand business requirements and develop AI services accordingly.
• Develop AI services and collaborate closely with our data platform and domain teams.
• Help design reusable patterns for AI-assisted software development.
• Explain AI systems to project managers and stakeholders.
• Keep up to date with the latest AI technologies.
• Train team members and business stakeholders on the implementation of AI solutions.
• Locate and analyze relevant data to enable the creation of new AI services.
• Work with the rest of the team to improve communication, collaboration, and deliveries with other teams and stakeholders.
• Document and explain the solutions you produce.

• Worked as a Fullstack Developer in a data-heavy domain for at least three years.
• Previous experience working with generative AI/LLMs or ML.
• Understands the benefits of using agentic coding to complement traditional software engineering.
• Proficiency in using Claude Code or similar tools to generate code.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Typescript/NodeJS, and SQL.
• Good understanding of core cloud concepts - Azure data storage, Azure compute, data connections, CI/CD, and APIs.
• Containers, CI/CD, and isolated execution environments.

Meritorious experience:

• Awareness of legal and ethical considerations in AI, including data privacy, bias and fairness, transparency, and accountability.
• Good communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Creativity, curiosity, and passion for artificial intelligence.
• Experience with agentic workflows or AI orchestration.
• Experience with evaluation frameworks, scenario testing, or benchmark design.
• Proficiency in UI libraries such as React or Streamlit.
• Proficiency in agentic AI libraries such as Langchain, PydanticAI, Semantic Kernel.
• Proficiency in ML libraries such as Scikit-learn and PyTorch.
• Cloud literacy - PostNord's data platform is based on Databricks and hosted in Azure.
• Experience working with various RAG frameworks.
• Desire to help shape how AI is used in a modern engineering organization.

Language requirement: Fluent English in speech and writing. Proficiency in at least one Scandinavian language is meritorious.
