Our Operations

The operations area of Akademiska Children's Hospital consists of eight sections. The position is organizationally part of the Section for Specialized Paediatrics. The section provides National Highly Specialized Care (NHV) in several areas. Research and teaching are important components of our operations.

Your Role

Your role involves clinical duties at the endocrinology clinic for children and adolescents. You will work with endocrine diseases in children and develop NHV care regarding skeletal dysplasias as your special assignment. The working method is team-based, and you will receive continuous supervision from senior colleagues to achieve subspecialist competence.

Rotating responsibility as a paediatric endocrinology consultant for the Healthcare Region of Central Sweden and for other sections at Akademiska Children's Hospital will be included upon achieving subspecialist competence, as well as responsibility for our elective care ward for a few days per month. On-call duties are included.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a specialist in paediatrics and who wish to work in a team-based manner. Your goal is to become a subspecialist at the university hospital level within paediatric endocrinology and diabetes, with special competence in skeletal dysplasias. Previous clinical experience in paediatric endocrinology and special competence regarding the diagnosis group of skeletal dysplasias is meritorious, in addition to research merits. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

We offer you a permanent position with a full-time engagement (100%). For the specialist physician position, the applicant must meet Akademiska Hospital's merit requirements. On-call duties are included. Start date according to agreement.
