Our Operations

Värmdö Gymnasium, one of Stockholm's most attractive upper secondary schools, is centrally located at Gullmarsplan in Stockholm. The school has approximately 1,300 students distributed across five university-preparatory programs: EK, ES, NA, SA, and TE. Värmdö Municipality is the main operator, but our students come from all over the Stockholm metropolitan area.

The operations are characterized by engagement and creativity and are focused on education, academic studies, and working life. All teachers at the school are certified. Centrally located in the school is our excellent library. For students in need of special support, we have a well-functioning studio.

We are now looking for a knowledgeable, creative, and engaged cafeteria assistant who shares our focus on learning, collaboration, and well-being.

Your Role

The role of cafeteria assistant involves working together with our cafeteria manager to run the daily operations of the school cafeteria, which is one of 30 restaurants where our students eat school lunches. You will receive deliveries and work at the cash register. Duties include preparing sandwiches and lighter meals, serving ready-made lunches, dishwashing, and cleaning. The work is independent, and it is important that you keep the development of the entire school in focus.

Your Experience

We are looking for you who have at least a high school diploma and documented knowledge of food handling and self-control. You have extensive experience in similar tasks in a large organization and are accustomed to working with young people. You have experience with the Truepos cash register system, where we handle cash, cards, and Swish, and you can perform cash reconciliation. You should be able to place supply orders and are expected to take significant personal responsibility for your tasks.

Your Personal Qualities

As a person, you are easy to collaborate with, are receptive, have good communication skills, and the ability to think outside the box. You are solution-oriented, stress-resistant, and like to jump in when needed. You thrive in a service role and enjoy working with young people.
