Do you want to lead and develop the audience experience at Sweden's national stage? As a Public Relations Manager, you have overall responsibility for ensuring that every performance is carried out with safety, structure, and professional hospitality – from the moment the doors open until the last visitor has left. Dramaten is looking for two Public Relations Managers for the Customer Service and Audience Meeting section. The positions are fixed-term appointments at 50 percent.
About the RoleThe Customer Service and Audience Meeting section is one of three sections within the Communications Department. We are responsible for ensuring that the meeting with Dramaten, both externally and internally, maintains high quality, is characterized by accessibility and professionalism, and contributes to strengthening Dramaten's brand.
As a Public Relations Manager, you play a central role in the interaction between the audience, ushers, and performance staff. You are responsible for the operational management of ushering work during performances and public events, acting as a coordinating link between several operational functions. In this role, you are a clear point of contact for the stage manager, assistant stage manager, production, and the box office.
You lead the work on-site, make decisions based on the needs of the situation, and ensure that routines for safety, accessibility, and hospitality are followed.
What We Are Looking ForWe are looking for you who have extensive experience in hospitality and customer service, and who feel confident leading in an operational environment with a high pace and varying conditions.
We are looking for you who have:
- At least three years of experience from service-oriented operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Experience in scheduling and leading hourly staff.
- Experience working with safety, accessibility, and fire safety routines.
- The ability to work in a structured and solution-oriented manner, even under time pressure.
- Good teamwork skills and the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Good system proficiency and good knowledge of Office 365.

You have the ability to make decisions when the situation requires it, while simultaneously contributing to creating safety and trust for both the audience and colleagues. Areas of Responsibility and Tasks- Lead, coordinate, and schedule ushers.
- Ensure appropriate staffing and handle absences.
- Hold daily briefings before performances and distribute tasks.
- Collaborate with the stage manager, assistant stage manager, and other relevant functions.
- Be the responsible contact person for audience-related issues during performance evenings.
- Handle and document deviations related to the audience, building, technology, and safety.
- Coordinate work in the event of cancelled performances and other special incidents.
- Ensure that fire safety and evacuation routines are followed.
- Be responsible for the evacuation of the audience when necessary.
- Introduce, guide, and develop ushers in their duties.
The role entails a clear mandate to collaborate directly with relevant functions to create efficient decision-making paths, good coordination, and a well-functioning operational workflow.
PrerequisitesThe positions are performance-based, and working hours are mainly scheduled for evenings and weekends, with some work also during daytime. The work follows the organization's performance schedule and requires presence in connection with performances.
The appointments are fixed-term positions at 50 percent for a period determined at the time of employment, with an intended start date in autumn 2026. We are primarily looking for you who can work for at least 9 months. For the right candidate, the position may be extended.
