ABOUT THE POSITION

At Kura Omsorg, we are looking for you who want to work as an on-call substitute in the role of personal assistant for our client in Västervik. There may be an opportunity for a fixed shift per week in the future.

Working hours that may occur:

• 14:30 - 21:00

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a curious teenage boy with an intellectual disability and some autistic traits. He is verbal and can communicate but sometimes needs sign language support and pictures to understand.

The tasks may include, for example:

• Helping and supporting with daily routines such as brushing teeth, dressing, and cooking

• Presence and support during leisure activities, both at home and outside

• Providing clear, calm, and pedagogical guidance in everyday life

• Verbal support in everyday life

• Working systematically and preventively to create security and stability

He enjoys being active and has many interests. Among other things, he likes shooting with nerf guns, fishing, painting, building dens, playing football, and building with Lego. Fishing is a particularly strong interest, and he can happily spend long days fishing outdoors. Therefore, it is a big plus if you, as an applicant, also have a genuine interest in fishing.

Routines in everyday life are of great importance to our client, and he can easily become stressed if these are not followed. He is also a curious and impulsive person, which places demands on you as an assistant to be systematic, attentive, and engaged. You need to be confident in yourself, able to set clear boundaries, and at the same time work with a low-affective approach when needed. We also value that you have the ability to analyze others' needs and that you are passionate about working with people. It is also desirable that you are calm and pedagogical, as great importance is placed on personal suitability.

REQUIREMENTS

• Non-smoker

• Swimming proficiency

• Fluent knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

• Category B driver's license

MERITS

• Previous work experience working as a personal assistant or within healthcare

• Experience using sign language support in communication

• Knowledge of low-affective interaction and/or positive behavioral support

Employment level: On-call substitute as needed with the possibility of a fixed shift per week

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with collective agreements.
