Our Operations

On Ward 85D, you will meet patients with a wide variety of neurological diagnoses – from acute illnesses to planned treatments. Here, we work with highly specialized care within areas such as epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, motor neuron diseases (MND), and DBS (deep brain stimulation).

With us, you will have a workday that is both educational, varied, and meaningful. Patient groups requiring minor neurosurgical procedures are also cared for on the ward as part of their treatment. We also have two wards for 24/7 EEG monitoring for patients being investigated for or diagnosed with epilepsy. A large part of our planned care consists of regional patients from all over Sweden.

We place great emphasis on competence development and offer, among other things, weekly lectures and training sessions. At the same time, we actively work to create a good and sustainable work environment where we support each other and enjoy our work.

Your Role

As a nurse with us, you will become an important part of an engaged and cohesive team.

  • Provide care to patients in both acute and planned phases
  • Work closely with doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and nursing assistants
  • Be responsible for your own care team and contribute to safe, secure, and holistic care

Who are you?

You are a registered nurse – experienced or newly graduated – who wants to grow within neurology.

  • You are curious, solution-oriented, and have a positive attitude.
  • You thrive in teams but can also work independently when needed.
  • You have the ability to prioritize and keep calm even when the pace is fast.

The most important thing for us is that you want to contribute to our patients receiving the best possible care. With us, you will develop in your professional role – every day brings new experiences and insights.

What We Offer

  • Individual introduction – adapted to your experience
  • Clinical development year for newly graduated nurses
  • Internal training and a neurology course
  • A supportive work environment focused on team spirit, development, and health

With us, you will work at the forefront of neurological care – together with colleagues who are passionate about their profession and the patients.

With us, you will receive benefits that make a difference; read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/jobba-hos-oss/bli-var-nya-kollega/formaner/ (https://regionuppsala.se/jobba-hos-oss/bli-var-nya-kollega/formaner/)).
