At Kolla, we believe every product should be able to tell its full story. Our microsite platform helps brands and manufacturers create and manage Digital Product Passports (DPP) that not only meet EU requirements but also create a brand experience while enabling transparency, regulatory compliance, and circular value.

As EU sustainability regulations accelerate, Kolla is scaling up to support global brands and manage millions of digital product passports. To lead the next phase, we are now looking for a Senior Developer who will develop our platform and be highly involved in driving our technical strategy and architecture.

Your Role

As a developer in a startup environment, we expect you to be actively involved in shaping Kolla’s technical roadmap and developing the platform capable of handling millions of interoperable and secure digital product passports. We see this role as a potential pathway to a CTO position in the future and would love to meet you if you feel you can balance architectural vision with practical leadership, guiding the development of our stack, data models, and systems for scalability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and lead the scalable architecture that powers millions of digital product passports.
  • Ensure data security and interoperability with customer databases and our own platform.
  • Collaborate with our development team, partners, customers, and regulators regarding technical standards and data ecosystems.
  • Present and discuss the platform at relevant events and customer meetings.

Tech Stack We Work With:

Backend – PHP (Laravel)

Frontend – Next.js

Digital Ocean Cloud Solutions

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience with PHP, React, MySQL, and API ecosystems.
  • 5+ years of experience in software architecture, preferably within SaaS, supply chain, or data platform environments.
  • Documented experience working in 'Scrum' and 'Agile' environments.
  • Documented experience scaling a platform to millions of users or data records.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and data modeling.
  • 3+ years of experience with CRM systems.
  • Experience working with one or more of the following systems: PIM, ERP, and PLM.
  • Experience with DPP and ESPR regulations.
  • Advantageous if you have knowledge of traceability systems.
  • Strategic thinker — capable of creating alignment between technology and business.
  • Entrepreneurial and practical team player — motivated to build, iterate, and scale a product with a clear purpose.
  • Accustomed to the pace and flexibility that comes with working in a startup.

Why You Should Join Us

  • We are about to build something big — and you will be crucial in making it happen.
  • We have a strong foundation, but you will join early and have the freedom to shape the next generation of platforms in an exciting and growing field.
  • Become part of a mission-driven company shaping the future of sustainable products in Europe.
  • Work together with an ambitious, international team.

We are located in central Stockholm, and we require you to be on-site at the office as we enter a rapid expansion phase.
