About the operations

Kiruna Ore Beneficiation's mission is to process the ore from mine to finished product. The main parts of the process are screening, concentrating, and pelletizing. The department consists of a total of eight sections, four of which are part of the main process and the other four are support sections within quality, technology and process development, material processes, and maintenance.

Your role

As a mechanic at Kiruna Concentrator 1 and 2 (KA1/KA2), you will become part of a positive and self-sufficient work team consisting of both shift and day staff. We also have our own maintenance leaders who plan and structure the daily work for the mechanics. In the role of mechanic, you will primarily work with preventive and corrective maintenance, improvement, and repair work. The work is carried out according to LKAB's work routines, instructions, and guidelines for safe and efficient execution. A strong safety mindset is consistently important in the role. The work involves close collaboration with operations personnel within the Concentrators, which requires good communication skills. We are looking for someone who is responsible, curious, and not afraid to ask questions. Here, we value engagement and a strong desire to develop, and we offer training in areas such as welding, bearing assembly, etc.

What you bring with you

• A high school education is required, preferably with an industrial focus or equivalent experience.
• A Category B driver's license is required for all positions at LKAB. For this position, a manual transmission license is required.
• Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, are required.
• Work experience as a mechanic is meritorious.
