Your future role with us

At Alstom in Luleå, you will work together with a group of competent and engaged colleagues who will help you integrate into the work and team in the best possible way.

Here, we maintain both locomotives and carriages of several different models, check traffic safety, and rectify any faults or damages.

The tasks are very varied as we perform everything from electrical troubleshooting and testing of various functions to replacing everything from push buttons to wheels on both carriages and locomotives.

Some examples of what your tasks may consist of:

  • Electrical work – troubleshooting using documentation, installation/replacement of equipment, etc.
  • Mechanical work – wheel changes, pneumatic troubleshooting, window replacements, etc.
  • Interior work in carriages – repair of interior fittings, etc.
  • Check that trains are traffic-safe

Qualifications for the position:

  • Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Undergo and pass a medical health examination, which is arranged by Alstom.

Advantageous if you have:

  • Education or experience in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic systems, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience assembling electrical and mechanical components from drawings and instructions.
  • Knowledge of the railway industry.
  • Basic computer skills (Office suite, SAP, etc.).
  • Good English language skills.

We work in shifts.
