Industrial Electrician for Quant's site in Piteå

We are looking for a driven and technically skilled industrial electrician who wants to take on a broad and independent role in our maintenance team at Hitachi in Piteå. This is a role for you if you thrive close to operations, enjoy qualified troubleshooting, and want to work with electricity, control systems, and improvement projects in a production environment.

Quant in Piteå is growing, and today we have 11 employees in the maintenance team with various specialist competencies. We are now looking for you who want to contribute your experience and, in the long term, take overall responsibility for electrical maintenance at the site.

Your role as an Industrial Electrician

In the role of industrial electrician with us, you will have an important function in the daily maintenance work at the site. You are responsible for driving and developing electrical-related maintenance in close collaboration with the customer, production, and colleagues within maintenance.

The role suits you if you have broad electrical competence and also understand control systems and automation in an industrial environment. The focus is on practical troubleshooting, analysis, and improvement work out in the plant – not on pure programming.

You are part of a maintenance group consisting of maintenance technicians, maintenance engineers, and electricians, where collaboration and problem-solving are central parts of everyday life.

Responsibilities

• Perform both emergency and preventive maintenance to ensure high operational reliability
• Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and development of electrical equipment and systems at the plant
• Troubleshoot and analyze control systems and PLC-related functions in interaction with machinery and process
• Participate in improvement work and contribute to increased operational reliability, availability, and optimization of machinery
• Collaborate with production, production technology, and the maintenance group to minimize downtime
• The work is primarily during daytime hours, shift work may occur

Qualifications

• Upper secondary education in electricity/automation or equivalent documented experience
• Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical installations, automated production equipment, and controlled machines
• Experience with practical troubleshooting in a production environment, close to machinery and process
• Good understanding of PLC and control systems and the ability to troubleshoot in industrial automation environments
• Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot using electrical diagrams and technical documentation
• Good problem-solving skills and a structured approach to work
• Good computer skills

We are looking for you who have relevant education and/or experience from manufacturing operations within maintenance, electricity, or automation. You are accustomed to working with troubleshooting in both modern and older equipment and have a good understanding of electrical equipment, electrical diagrams, and technical documentation. Experience as an industrial electrician or in a similar broad role within industrial maintenance is advantageous.
