Civil Helicopter Technician for 1st Helicopter Squadron
As a helicopter technician in the Swedish Armed Forces, you will be a vital part of a successful team within a rapidly growing agency. 1st Helicopter Squadron / 12th Service Platoon
The 1st Helicopter Squadron is based in Luleå and its main task is to conduct land-based helicopter operations. Currently, approximately 120 employees work at the squadron, handling Helicopter 14 (NH90). In 2028, we will transition to Helicopter 16 (Blackhawk). The position is located at the 114th Air Maintenance Company / 12th Service Platoon, which performs maintenance on the helicopter system throughout the entire spectrum of conflict on varying locations.
Main Responsibilities:
As a helicopter technician, you will perform maintenance on Helicopter 14/NH90. You will work in a team carrying out maintenance tasks of varying complexity. The duties include base maintenance, encompassing both preventive maintenance in the form of calendar- and operating-time-generated measures, as well as troubleshooting and corrective maintenance. You will work both independently and together with military personnel from the unit. The role may involve being assigned specialist competence for specific maintenance tasks, such as borescope inspections or composite repairs. You will be war-placed as a civil helicopter technician. The work involves some travel within Sweden and may include work abroad.
Qualifications:
- Basic examination EASA Cat B1
- Good knowledge of English (as work manuals and reporting are conducted in English)
- Swedish citizenship
Desirable Qualifications:
- Basic training EASA Cat B1, B1:3, B2
- Experience in aircraft maintenance on helicopters or fixed-wing aircraft
- Military basic training
Personal Attributes:
You are meticulous, driven, and engaged, with a strong focus on safety. You work independently under your own responsibility and have good teamwork skills. You are flexible and open to tasks in areas outside your specific expertise. Good physical fitness is required, as the position involves war placement.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
