A new nursing position with leadership and educational responsibilities for Nephrology Ward 1 is now available. The role combines clinical work as a nurse with operational leadership and educational duties on the ward. As a lead nurse, you work in close collaboration with ward managers and MLA to plan, lead, and follow up on daily nursing care. The assignment involves working for an efficient patient flow, adequate staffing, and high patient safety. You serve as support for less experienced colleagues and are a role model regarding professional conduct and adherence to guidelines.

Job Description

Main tasks:

  • Overview of occupancy, care beds, and care intensity, and reallocate resources if necessary.
  • Adjust staffing and competence based on care needs.
  • Support in nursing and profession for less experienced colleagues and new employees.
  • Support in conducting professional meetings, seminars, and other common activities on the ward.
  • Follow risk assessments and activity plans in Qlik Sense.
  • Participate in development work and projects affecting staff.
  • In consultation with the ward manager, drive current projects and change initiatives.

The role also includes coordinating and quality-assuring educational efforts:

  • Update information boards, revise policies, and handle educational material.
  • Plan and conduct internal training, patient cases, and VO lectures.
  • Introduce newly hired nurses and assistant nurses according to respective training plans.

Qualifications

Licensed nurse with at least 3 years of work experience. You have documented experience in nephrology, preferably in both outpatient and inpatient care. You have good knowledge of acute and subacute care flows.

Personal Attributes

You have a good ability to lead, prioritize, and communicate. You see the operation as a whole and dare to make decisions in uncomfortable situations. You inspire trust in the group and are clear and communicative in your approach. You are pedagogical and interested in supervision and competence development. You also easily adapt tempo and are flexible based on the operation's needs.

Other

Leadership function 40% and educational assignment 10%, daytime Monday–Friday.

Clinical work 50%, including evening shifts and weekend duties occur.
