Do you want to work close to advanced flight technology and ensure that the aircraft's control systems function in everything from daily flights to extreme maneuvers? With us, you get a broad, technical, and developing role where simulation, analysis, and problem-solving are at the center.
About the role
In this role, you become part of the verification and validation chain for the aircraft's control system — the final instance before the systems proceed to flight testing. You work with simulations, rig tests, and system tests in both desktop and simulator environments, where you stress the systems, find errors, and ensure that both flight safety and performance requirements are met.
You develop and adapt tools for data analysis, handle large datasets, and produce the most critical results that the design and hardware teams need to improve the system. The work takes place in close collaboration with several technology disciplines within flight technology — software development, hardware, requirements/design, and flight testing — which gives you a natural breadth and a deep understanding of the entire control system's lifecycle.
A typical day can involve everything from coding analysis tools, investigating failure modes, and participating in technical discussions, to sitting in a simulator with a test pilot or conducting rig tests. The role is varied, problem-solving oriented, and suits you who want to grow technically and perhaps take steps towards (for example) technical leadership in the long run. The team works agilely (Scrum) and consists of approximately 15 people aged 24–31.
Who we are looking for
You are curious, analytical, and communicative, and thrive in an environment where people collaborate, share knowledge, and have fun together. You are social, contribute to a positive atmosphere, and enjoy building relationships both within the team and with other technology disciplines. You dare to ask questions, take initiative, and like to understand the bigger picture behind complex systems. If you also have an interest in aviation or advanced technology, it is a big plus.
We are looking for someone who has…
- University degree or Master of Science in Engineering in e.g., technical physics, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science, or similar
- At least approx. 1 year of relevant work experience in technology
- Programming skills, preferably in Python and/or Matlab
Meritorious
- Experience with Simulink, Linux, or Git
- Experience with data-driven tools and a general understanding of Machine Learning and AI
- Experience with data analysis, tool development, or handling large datasets
- Experience with simulation, rig testing, or work in secure environments
- Interest in flight technology, control systems, or advanced technical systems
- Ability to contribute to the team's culture through energy, openness, and engagement
