About the Department

Regional Healthcare Somatic coordinates the regional healthcare for specialized somatic care in Region Västernorrland. The somatic area consists of eleven regional healthcare units and is operated at three hospitals: Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik. Several clinics are also located in various towns in the county. The area has approximately 2,400 employees.

The Eye Department is part of Regional Healthcare Somatic and provides specialized eye care for the county's residents. We have full clinic operations in three locations in the county: Sollefteå, Sundsvall, and Örnsköldsvik. We also have limited clinic operations in Härnösand. Our mission is to investigate, treat, and operate on diseases in and around the eye. In total, we have just under 100 employees in the county, where various professional categories work closely together with the patient at the center.

Do you want to become part of our team? We are now looking for a resident physician (underläkare) for the eye clinic in Sundsvall. The work as a resident physician with us is independent but with supervision from experienced colleagues. This position is a great opportunity for you as a resident physician who wants to grow and develop in your medical role. The temporary position is conducted under conditions similar to specialty training (ST). We offer a good work environment with competent and positive colleagues from various professional categories with solid knowledge and experience.

The position is a full-time temporary assignment with start date by agreement and for at least 6 months.

Responsibilities

You will perform standard duties as a resident physician within ophthalmology.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

• Are a licensed physician
• Have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Have work experience from eye care
