The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest departments, with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation—preschools, primary schools, and child and student health services—we are here for children and students. Together, we shape the future.

You will be working in Team North (Buaskolan, Väröbackaskolan, Deromeskolan, Vidhögeskolan). There will be a total of 3 school nurses in Team North, 2 of whom are already in place.

Job Description

As a school nurse with us, you have a meaningful and independent role where you are a key person for the students' health and well-being. You belong to the medical student health care team and collaborate closely with both the school and central support functions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work proactively and preventively to provide students with the best possible conditions for learning and development.
• Be responsible for the medical interventions of student health care according to the basic program, including health visits, vaccinations according to the child vaccination program, growth checks, and open reception.
• Be an active part of the school's student health team (EHT), contributing your medical expertise to create learning environments that promote student health.
• Collaborate with students, guardians, and school staff, as well as maintain external contacts with actors such as pediatric medicine and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP).
• Document work digitally in the journal system Prorenata and ensure high patient safety at all levels.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a registered nurse with specialist education as a district nurse, pediatric nurse, or school nurse.
