We are now looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer for the IT Department who wants to help create business value.
The primary task of the IT Department is to provide IT services to the entire Swedish Police Authority. The IT Department is a crucial part of crime prevention and law enforcement work, and IT is one of the most important tools for streamlining the police and increasing the quality of police work. The IT Department develops and modernizes the police's IT systems, and the agency is investing heavily in strengthening the department with new specialist competence and the latest technology to benefit citizens and employees in police operations.
The Analysis Support Systems group is responsible for data collection and the development of BI tools used by the entire Police for monitoring and analysis in law enforcement work and other support activities. The group has a strong sense of community where we help, support, and challenge each other.
Job Description
Our task in the Analysis Support Systems group is to take overall responsibility for the new development, maintenance, and support of the Police's BI platform. This is to meet the Police's need for monitoring business analysis as well as operational support in law enforcement work and other support activities. In your new role as a developer, you will work on exciting projects designing applications, modeling data flows, and integrating data from many different data sources. You are often involved in the entire process from requirements to finished application, always with business value in focus. We currently work in the BI platform Qlik Sense. Your primary tasks will include:
- New development of applications in the BI platform.
- Maintenance and further development of applications in the BI platform with requirements for security and performance.
- Present and discuss BI solutions with end-users.
- Monitor technical development to identify which parts we should implement within the agency to stay at the forefront.
- Ensure high quality in architecture, code, and documentation.
- Collaborate in agile teams and participate in sprints.
- Collaborate to some extent with other agencies.
- Work with data modeling and handling of data flows.
Qualifications
This is an opportunity for you if you have:
- Post-secondary education in IT, or equivalent acquired work experience that the employer deems relevant.
- Several years of work experience in system development within Business Intelligence that the employer deems relevant.
- Very good proficiency in Swedish.
- Good proficiency in English.
- Swedish citizenship.
It is meritorious if you also have competence in one or more of the areas below:
- New development and lifecycle management of applications in Qlik Sense.
- Experience administering Qlik installations on-premises and working in a clustered server environment.
- Experience with data modeling.
- Good knowledge of relevant programming languages such as PowerShell, R, or Python.
- Experience presenting complex information to the business.
- Experience with NPrinting.
