Do you want to work on society-critical projects and help develop the electricity grid of the future?
We are now looking for a Project Manager with power engineering expertise for our project unit within the regional grid (6-130 kV).
About Us
The Distribution Business Area is responsible for the development, operation, and maintenance of our distribution networks. The electricity grid operations are organized into three units: Projects, Operation & Maintenance, and Technology & Safety.
The Project Unit is responsible for building and leading expansion and reinvestment projects within local and regional grids. We work closely with other units and together we ensure a robust and future-proof electricity grid.
About the Role
As a Project Manager within the regional grid, you play a central role in driving our infrastructure projects from start to finish. You are responsible for the execution – from the moment the project is approved until the facility is built and handed over to operations.
You lead projects with a focus on time, cost, quality, and working environment, coordinating internal resources and external contractors. The role involves many interfaces and significant personal responsibility, while working in a team where collaboration and knowledge sharing are natural parts of the process.
The projects are often technically complex, making your expertise in power engineering a crucial part of finding the right solutions and driving the projects forward.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and manage regional grid projects from decision-making to a completed facility
- Responsible for budget, forecasts, schedules, and follow-up
- Ensure quality, working environment, and delivery in projects
- Coordinate internal resources and external contractors
- Handle dialogue with authorities, municipalities, and other stakeholders
We are looking for someone who has
- Experience working within power engineering/electricity grids, for example as a project manager, designer, or in another relevant role
- Very good technical understanding of power engineering, enabling you to drive projects within the regional grid
- Post-secondary education in energy/power engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience working in project environments and collaborating with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work systematically and follow up on time, economy, and quality
- Good communication skills in Swedish and basic English
- Valid driver's license (Category B). The position is located in Helsingborg
To thrive and succeed in the role, you need a solid foundation in power engineering – this is an important part of the assignment and our projects.
Merits
- Experience from regional grids or larger electricity grid projects
- Knowledge of contract law
- Experience collaborating with contractors or suppliers
As a person
You are responsible, structured, and drive your work forward with high quality. You have a business-minded approach and thrive in a role with many interfaces where collaboration and communication are crucial.
Business-mindedness in the role means that you:
- Take responsibility for the project's economy and actively work with forecasts and cost control
- Make decisions from a holistic perspective where technology, economy, and risk are weighed together
- Drive dialogue with contractors in a clear and professional manner
- Ensure we get the right quality at the right cost in our projects
- Contribute to developing efficient working methods and improving our delivery over time
We offer
- A role where you help build vital societal infrastructure
- Opportunity to work with complex and technically challenging projects
- An engaged team with close collaboration
