The Psychiatric Clinic in Norrköping is part of the Psychiatric Centre and consists of four outpatient clinics (one of which is an addiction clinic), emergency services with observation beds, a mobile team, and four inpatient wards.

Job Description

The Psychiatric Clinic in Norrköping is staffed with a group of specialist physicians and several specialty trainees (ST-doctors). The clinic typically has 8–10 resident doctors (AT-doctors) and rotating ST-doctors placed at the clinic.

As a specialist physician in addiction care, you are responsible for medical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients with addictions to alcohol, narcotics, medications, and gambling. The work is carried out in close collaboration with a multiprofessional team as well as external actors such as social services, primary care, and psychiatry.

About You

We are looking for you who are a specialist physician in psychiatry or addiction medicine. Experience in addiction care is an advantage.

The position also includes educating and supervising younger colleagues and participating in on-call duties.

Since you will communicate with patients, relatives, colleagues, and in some cases authorities, it is important that you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

We are looking for someone with a distinctly positive attitude towards work and who gets things done. As a person, you are independent, stable, and structured. You communicate clearly, value differences, and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. You must also have good teamwork skills to contribute effectively to the team work at the clinic. Great importance will be attached to personal qualities in this recruitment.

The position is a temporary assignment at the addiction clinic at 100% with start date as agreed. There is also an opportunity for permanent employment within the Psychiatric Clinic Norrköping.
