Do you want to help develop future healthcare in northern Värmland? We are now looking for dedicated nurses for Torsby Hospital – a small hospital with a big heart. Here, we work closely together across departmental boundaries with the patient in focus, and with short decision-making paths that enable fast and secure care interventions.

Your workplace

Torsby Hospital has three care departments. We have close cooperation and work as needed on all departments, starting from a common base. The hospital is non-clinical, meaning you will gain broad knowledge within patient care.

Department 63 is a reopened department currently under construction, with hopes of expanding the number of care beds over time. The focus is on surgical care beds, both acute and elective, but specialties such as orthopedics and medicine will also be available on the department. Department 64 has orthopedics as its main specialty, both acute and elective. There will also be care beds within surgery and medicine there, depending on availability.

We staff these departments together, so work will be carried out on both departments.

We are a small hospital in northern Värmland with a big heart and commitment to our patients and employees. All units and partners are highlighted as an important part of the hub to ensure smooth and safe operations for visitors. Good cooperation between units, short decision-making paths, and close contact with the management group are characteristic of us.

Your responsibilities

On the care department, you work as a nurse in a team together with assistant nurses. As a nurse, you will be responsible for, among other things, ward rounds, medication management, nursing care, and various medical technical tasks.

You will receive individual induction. If you are a newly graduated nurse, the Clinical Development Program (KUP) is included during your first year.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. It is important to you to treat people in a friendly and respectful manner. You are structured and solution-focused. In addition, you adapt easily to changed circumstances, work well in teams, and can also work independently.
