Are you a chef passionate about cooking high-quality, home-style dishes from kitchens around the world? At The Grill, we are now looking for an experienced Lunch Chef with broad expertise from various global cuisines who wants to join our cheerful team and contribute to providing our guests with a fantastic dining experience.

We work with fresh, high-quality ingredients and serve lunch dishes with "that little extra" every day. We are looking for YOU who want to put your mark on the lunch menu and contribute with inspiration and creativity.

The Grill is a well-established grill restaurant in Kville Saluhall that has been operating for 13 years. The restaurant is owned by the family who founded Kville Saluhall and the delicatessen Akbars Chark. The Grill's menu consists primarily of meat, ranging from noble cuts grilled to perfection to our homemade burgers. Since the owner family originates from Persia, we also serve a selection of traditional Persian grilled dishes.

On weekdays, we serve our popular lunches consisting of classic Swedish as well as international home-style dishes. We put a lot of love into our lunches, which is reflected in our satisfied regular guests. All meat prepared at the restaurant comes fresh from our delicatessen located one floor down in the market hall. The fish served also comes directly from the fishmonger in the market hall.

Working hours are Monday-Friday 08:00-16:00 with attractive individual salary setting. The position is a permanent full-time employment starting in August or as agreed.

About the role

As a lunch chef with us, you will:

  • Prepare and present all lunch dishes with a focus on quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new lunch dishes.
  • Ensure good hygiene, order, and structure in the kitchen.
  • Place orders with our suppliers and receive deliveries.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working with lunches; experience from both Swedish and international kitchens is a plus.
  • Is meticulous, efficient, and able to maintain a high pace.
  • Is creative and has a passion for cooking with good ingredients.
  • Thrives in a team but can primarily work independently and drive the kitchen forward together with the restaurant manager.
