EcoDataCenter operates some of Europe's most sustainable data centers – serving customers with very high demands for availability, security, and stability. We are now looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our team in Falun.

This role is for you if you want to work closely with technical operations in a business where structure, foresight, and coordination are crucial to ensuring maintenance work functions without unplanned impact on operations.

Role Description

You will take a central role in planning, coordinating, and following up on maintenance work in our data centers. The role is largely coordinating and administrative, but you also need to understand how the work is actually carried out on-site and what consequences different decisions have for operations.

The workday often begins with reviewing work orders and planned activities in MaintMaster, our maintenance system. You ensure that jobs are properly prepared before they go into operation – that documentation is in place, risks are identified, materials and resources are available, and contractors are coordinated.

A large part of the role involves creating progress in an environment where many dependencies need to function simultaneously. Operational windows, customer requirements, technical teams, external contractors, and critical systems need to be synchronized and prioritized correctly. When conditions change, you must be able to replan quickly without losing structure or control.

You work closely with our technical teams within electricity, cooling, and mechanics, as well as with the operations organization, contractors, and customer-facing functions. The role also involves monitoring deviations, coordinating service activities, and working on structure and data quality in the maintenance system.

As the business grows, the amount of planned maintenance and coordination will increase. This makes the role important for creating long-term structure, quality, and stability in operations, which also entails a responsibility to improve and develop maintenance work.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and follow up on maintenance work in the maintenance system
  • Ensure work orders meet the required quality before execution
  • Coordinate work against operational windows, customer requirements, and internal operational planning
  • Ensure materials, resources, and contractors are in place on time
  • Identify risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies in planned work
  • Lead planning meetings and follow up on deviations and improvement measures
  • Work on structure and data quality in CMMS/maintenance systems
  • Coordinate external contractors and service partners
  • Coordinate service cases and Smart Hands activities together with the customer team

Who are you?

You have experience in maintenance, planning, or coordination in a technical environment and thrive in roles where structure and foresight make a real difference. You understand that well-executed maintenance work starts long before anyone is out on-site working practically.

You work methodically, prioritize safety, and are accustomed to handling several parallel activities without losing order or focus. You have sufficient technical understanding to ask the right questions, spot risks early, and understand how different jobs affect operations.

You do not need to come from a data center background. We welcome you if you come from, for example, industry, energy, property, production, or another technical environment with requirements for structure, safety, and operational reliability.

This is not the right role for anyone who primarily wants to work hands-on in operations. The role suits you if you enjoy planning, coordination, documentation, and follow-up – and if you see the value in creating order in a business where many things happen simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Experience in maintenance planning, coordination, or operations in a technical environment
  • Good understanding of technical systems such as electricity, cooling, mechanics, industry, or property
  • Experience working in maintenance systems or CMMS
  • Experience coordinating multiple activities and stakeholders in parallel
  • Good ability to create structure, prioritize, and follow up
  • Very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Merits

  • Experience from data centers or other operationally critical business
  • Experience with MaintMaster or similar maintenance systems
  • Experience in improvement work and process development
  • Experience coordinating contractors in technical environments
  • Understanding of redundancy and critical infrastructure
