Our Operations

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) department is a multifaceted operation. Research and teaching are integrated parts of the activity, and highly patient-oriented psychiatric research is being conducted by several professional groups. The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry department is responsible for specialized psychiatric healthcare for individuals aged 0–18 in Uppsala County, with outpatient clinics currently located in Uppsala and Enköping. Our acute ward, emergency clinic, and eating disorders clinic are located at Akademiska Sjukhuset in the House of Psychiatry.

Your Role

You will work within Child and Adolescent Psychiatry clinics, the emergency clinic, and the acute ward, as well as in various units to achieve competency goals according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations. Training will be conducted according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations and a Psychotherapy Education with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Primary on-call duty is included in the position and is shared between the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry emergency clinic and the Adult Psychiatry emergency clinic.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician (license to be attached to the application). To be a qualified applicant, Swedish medical licensure is required. Knowledge of Swedish corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry and/or adult psychiatry, as well as interest/experience in research and/or teaching, is meritorious. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
