We are looking for a laboratory technician in metabolomics for a fixed-term position at the Department of Science and Technology.

Background

The Research Centre Man, Technology and Environment (MTM) focuses on applied research regarding chemicals in the environment, health, and sustainable development. We are seeking a laboratory technician for the research group Metabolomics and Exposome.

Responsibilities

The duties consist of laboratory work within the ongoing research activities, with a focus on the preparation of biological samples for analysis using LC-MS and GC-MS.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biomedical laboratory science, or a related field. A Master's degree is an advantage, as is practical experience in processing biological samples, GC-MS and LC-QTOFMS-based analytical methods, exposome analyses, and metabolomics.

You should have good verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English. You must be able to work independently and in a team, as well as work with quality awareness and take responsibility. Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities, as you will need to meet others in a trustworthy manner and demonstrate good collaboration skills with a flexible approach.

The position is a temporary appointment (substitute) for approximately one year, with a possible extension. Örebro University applies individual salary setting.
