Do you want to develop and contribute to the growth of Region Uppsala? We welcome you to join us!
Our Operations
The Healthcare Department at the Regional Executive Office supports the political leadership to ensure that the goals and direction for healthcare are achieved, benefiting residents and patients. Within the Healthcare Assignment Unit at the Healthcare Department, a team of about twenty employees works with operational support, investigations, development work, healthcare procurement, and follow-up. In this work group, you will meet colleagues from diverse knowledge areas with backgrounds in medicine, dentistry, social sciences, and economics. Currently, the Executive Office is working to strengthen production and capacity management within healthcare, including the structuring of care levels.
Your Role
The Healthcare Assignment Unit works closely with the political leadership and frequently submits service investigations or responses to initiatives from various parts of the healthcare sector. The work is often conducted under tight deadlines and fixed timeframes. We have a clear and ongoing improvement culture focused on citizen benefit.
In the role of Investigator/Project Manager, a significant part of your responsibilities will involve working with production and capacity management and the structuring of healthcare levels at a general level. This may include specifying requirements for system support, overarching implementation work, and project work within the area of care level structuring directed towards the healthcare administrations within Region Uppsala. Additionally, the role may involve responsibility for some of the contracts signed with private healthcare providers in various care areas, procured according to LOU and LOV regulations, acting as the region's contact person for procured suppliers. The role includes ongoing follow-up of the procured healthcare services, which you will conduct together with the healthcare assignment team. In addition to your main responsibilities, you are expected to participate in development projects or act as a coordinator/project manager in smaller or larger assigned investigations.
Your Qualifications
- You are accustomed to taking responsibility for your work, which is often carried out both in teams and independently.
- You have experience leading and working in project formats. It is natural for you to work collaboratively while maintaining your own drive and curiosity.
- You enjoy analytical tasks and have the ability to absorb complex information.
- You are experienced in analyzing and reporting on the effects of proposals and implemented measures to contribute to development.
- You have experience building sustainable and good relationships with employees and partners. Region Uppsala is a large organization; it is important that you can navigate the conditions of a politically governed organization that is both complex and changing.
Your Competence
- We are looking for you with a relevant university degree and several years of experience in production and capacity issues, preferably in project management or operational development roles within the public sector.
- You can process large volumes of text and analyze statistics and reports in numbers, including quantitative operational data. Since the work involves oral and written presentations and dialogue with management, healthcare providers, and employees, it is a prerequisite that you have experience with and enjoy expressing yourself both in writing and orally in groups.
- You have good experience in the healthcare sector, preferably at an operational or strategic level, including issues related to the structuring of care levels at the administration or regional level.
- You have an interest in complex issues that require collaboration, decision-making, and implementation across multiple levels, often in long-term projects or assignments.
- Your computer skills, including methodological knowledge in production and capacity management, are good. Furthermore, you generally have good knowledge of Office 365 and can quickly adapt to new system support tools needed in your work. Previous work experience in the healthcare sector is considered an asset.
