About Us

The Department of Surgery and Urology is a large department with an inpatient ward, surgical, urological, breast, and endoscopy clinics, as well as its own day-care unit. We strive to offer the population of the county surgical care and treatment with high competence and quality.

At the endoscopy unit, we are a great team where doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and secretaries work together. Here you will experience a learning and exciting daily routine with good camaraderie and much joy in work, where the patient is always in focus. The work includes both surgical care and treatment as well as an IBD clinic. Both planned and acute operations are conducted here.

Your Responsibilities

• Telephone advice, where a large part is advice to IBD patients experiencing flares.
• Assist the endoscopist during colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and gastroscopy.
• Assist the doctor in the operating room/ICU during ERCP, PEG, acute bleeding, stent placement, etc.
• Assist the endoscopist in the operating room during colonoscopy and gastroscopy for children and adults.
• Administer infusions to patients with IBD.
• Coordinate the day's acute examinations reported from the wards.
• Own clinic for capsule endoscopy.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse with a few years of experience. Experience in surgical/endoscopic and medical/IBD care is meritorious. You are sensitive and accustomed to taking responsibility. You are service-oriented, flexible, creative, and structured. You find it easy to collaborate with others as a large part of the work involves teamwork. With your willingness and engagement, you want to be part of and contribute to the development of the operations. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and interest in the tasks.

Employment Type

Permanent position with a six-month probationary period, start date by agreement. The position is day-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Thursday 7:30–17:00 and Fridays 7:30-12:30.
